Volunteer

The work that Shalom Center does in the community is only possible due to the support of people in our community volunteering their time, talent, and skills.

In order to volunteer, we want to get to know you. We ask that you fill out our simple Volunteer Application which helps us better understand what you are looking to do. Some of the most common questions can be found on our Frequently Asked Questions below. We thank you for thinking of us!

Frequently Asked Questions

In order to volunteer by yourself, you must be 16 or older. However volunteers between 12-16 may volunteer when accompanied by their parent, guardian, or teacher.

In our Soup Kitchen, volunteers must be older than 16 in order to work in the actual kitchen. However, there are numerous other tasks throughout the meal service that younger volunteers can do.

For groups of school children or youth-age clubs/organizations, please contact the Volunteer Department to arrange an opportunity.

We ask that you fill out this very brief volunteer interest form so that we are connecting you with an opportunity that fits your interests and our needs. Once you fill that out, someone from our Volunteer Department will contact you to provide more information on your volunteer opportunities.
