Kenosha WI, (February 23, 2024) The Shalom Center Annual Celebration will take place on Tuesday, April 9th, 2024. The theme of this year’s event is “Tailgate for HOPE”. The Green Bay Packers Players and Management will be at the Annual Celebration as part of their Packers Tailgate Tour. The event will be from 5:30pm to 8pm at The Club at Strawberry Creek, 14810 72nd Street in Kenosha, Wisconsin. The event will feature a tailgate/football theme and the venue set-up for socializing and fun.
“We are thrilled and grateful to have the Green Bay Packers at our Annual Celebration,” stated Tamara Coleman, Shalom Center Executive Director. “The Tailgate Tour demonstrates their commitment to fans and to local nonprofits.”
This year’s celebration will feature heavy hor d’oeuvres, cocktails, live music featuring The John Crawford Jazz Band, silent auction, raffles and more. Tickets are $100 each and are available in advance only and may be purchased online at www.shalomcenter.org/events. Sponsorship opportunities are also available and are listed at the same link on their website. Shalom Center is hoping to raise $50,000. All the proceeds benefit ongoing food, shelter, and community resource programs.
Shalom Center was founded in 1982 by a small group of individuals who hoped to do one simple thing: feed those in need. Today they continue that mission of hope by serving as the only homeless shelter, largest food pantry, and longest running nightly meal program in Kenosha County. The presence of the Green Bay Packers will help honor the unwavering spirit and dedication that has propelled the growth of the local non-profit.
